I've tried a few devices over the years, mostly in an HT v3 plastic copy. I think six days was the longest continuous as hygiene started to be a problem. So after checking these boards, I thought I'd go for a Cherry Keeper. I measured plenty and I'm basically happy, but it seems there's a bit of suck it and see, whichever device you go for. I'd really appreciate your ideas on what I might need to nudge to make it really work.

    I ordered

    a) Cherry Keeper Ring - 52mm -6°

    b) Cherry Keeper Ring - 44x52mm Tall Oval -3° ~48.1mm

    c) Cherry Keeper Small with TouchStop

The tall oval ring felt a little better after an evening in the regular one, but still not quite right. Feel free to chip in on any of the below:

    1. The ring is still quite pinchy. My skin is folded over some at points and I've found the 52mm ring on other devices best. Do I go even bigger?

    2. It's hard to finish peeing - feels like even with a lot of massaging, there's still some left. Pretty sure it's not a prostate problem, but for hygiene and UTIs, it would be good if I can sort it

    3. I think the combination of Touchstop, negative angle, short and high ballsack means I get moisture trapped in-between cage and sack. It gets a bit squelchy and a song great after a few days.

    4. I'm uncut and pull my foreskin back. Weird feeling being out that long. I think I'm basically right on size, but it feels like I'm getting a little irritated just behind the corona. Any tips (if you'll pardon the pun)?

    Thanks

    Oh, and
    5. How normal is it to hurt once you're free again? It takes me a few days to get rid of the soreness of being constricted.
    Thanks

Hard to be specific. But I’d suggest a few things.

Be sure you smoothed your ring with sandpaper.

Use lube for the ring. But not for cage.

Consider doing the opposite with foreskin. I pull mine forward towards the tip.

I don’t see the touch stop as an advantage. Too hard to clean.

I also have the short cage and sane size tall oval. Only difference is I do not have touch stop and nurse my foreskin all the way forward.

I frankly think urine gets messy no matter what. So I remove and clean at least every two days.

Hope that helps. Please feel free to ask any more questions you’d like. I think the Cherry Keeper has a steeper learning curve than most makers. But once mastered, is the best.

As for #5: After being locked for four days I’m a little sore around the ring.

Thanks. Not sure if I should have gone for a different cage sizing - feels like there's no more room inside the head cage for foreskin as well.

This is going to be a long relationship, I feel. Will try to get the right fit eventually...

The good news is you chose a great way to experiment. With Cherry Keeper it’s relatively inexpensive to mix and match sizes.

In fact, I own several rings and several cages. Some combinations are better for sleeping. Some are better for exercise activities. Some are better for overall long term wear. So even within any given day I will use different combos.

pulling the foreskin back for headlock can lead to edema or paraphimosis.
unfortunately imo headlock is not for the uncut.

Thanks for the input. I went back and "treated" myself to a new set up of a less constructive cage and two big rings.

    Cherry Keeper Cage - Small

    Cherry Keeper Ring G2 - 50x58mm Tall Oval ~54.1mm

    Cherry Keeper Ring G2 - 57x62mm Tall Oval ~59.5mm.

Moisture retention is improved with a more open cage. The cage is still to small to allow foreskin to close and my head is getting pretty sensitive, and not in a linky, interesting way. Should have listened to you more!

The rings both felt amazingly comfortable...until they fell off. Back in the pinchy smaller ring at the moment.
More aware of the smell as well recently. I saw somewhere that dyeing will help, but to be fair it washes out pretty easily so far.

Might have to keep the iterations going...

I got my first CK a couple of weeks ago.
I'm uncut and have a lot of skin to pack away so I went for the wider cage.
It's really comfortable, but I think maybe I should have gone for the tall oval for the ring.
Still early days, I'm hoping this one is going to be my first long-term wear cage.
My wife (KH) has given me free reign wearing it with the proviso that I'm ready for a long term lock up starting when we go on holiday in the 10th November.
