I'm only 3 weeks into my field testing of several devices to see what feels & fits best and which one I can wear the longest. While many feel comfortable, I have realized my issue has become my skin. I use Nair for men to remove all my hair (have been for years) but now that I have introduced my devices - I have soreness in the area. Now I have done several things - and currently have stopped. After washing off the Nair and hairs for nice smooth skin - I used Nivea skin cream and rubbed it in well (rather than a lube) to get my base ring on. Some burning happened, but I thought maybe it was due to the tenderness of the skin from the Nair. I have since stopped the Nivea, removed the device and ordered CeraVe Healing Ointment & Vaseline Intensive Care Body Lotion to try next. Has anyone else had issues and how have you solved them....
Perseverance and lots of moisturiser worked for me. Burning is normal. If your skin gets too sore then use a healing cream such as Sudocrem. You just have to stick with it and allow your body to get used to it.
Maybe wait a few mins between the lotions and hen few more mins before put the cage on and make sure you are dry after the shower. How many cages are you testing
I’ve found a good moisturiser to be best, keeps everything soft and supple, and prevents your skin drying out.
I was using Nivea - which seemed to cause more issues. So far the CeraVe Healing Ointment has been great and works as a wonderful lube for slipping the cage back on
I’ve used bulldog brand for years, it’s all down to what suits your skin type, e45 is good for me to.
It sounds like you're taking the right steps by trying different products to see what works best for your skin. When I had skin issues, I found that keeping things simple often helped. I switched to gentle, fragrance-free products and made sure to moisturize regularly. It might also be worth considering a patch test before trying new products to see how your skin reacts. I also recently tried an underarm whitening treatment, and it was a blast! It's worth checking out. I hope the CeraVe Healing Ointment and Vaseline Intensive Care Body Lotion work better for you. If the issue persists, it might be a good idea to consult with a dermatologist to get personalized advice.
I agree that it's a case of finding what works for you. I think your skin toughens over time. I rarely get skin problems. My go to is an Arnica cream. It's designed to soothe and hydrate the area.
