In her downtime, dollyanne has been playing around with Twitter. There are a number of interesting people on there and dollyanne was wondering if there is anyone else here who uses Twitter? Recently, dollyanne learned about Mistress Lorelei's re-release of her out-of-print book, "A Charm School for Sissy Maids" on Twitter. Also, sissyslavejamie, who sometimes posts here, keeps an interesting running tab of her life as a sissy cuckold. Anyone else here a Twitter user?

To be honest, so far i do not understand the significance of twitter and what's the advantage over forums. To me it looks a bit like a new offline chat community?????

May be someone can it explain to an old fashioned sissy.

A good use of Twitter is to build your PLN or Personal Learning Network. Here's a decent explanation of PLN's in the education arena.

I think of a PLN like being in a pub with Ben Franklin, a wheat farmer in Nebraska and Bach while talking about the stuff that interests us - which might be using music to grow wheat. It just happens in a virtual state and in random time. Twitter is one tool that comes into help us follow those people we find interesting and we can exchange ideas through tweets...

Sorry, I might have gotten off subject with the whole PLN thingy, but was trying to explain how one might use Twitter to do more than just follow/stalk someone you're interested in - which on the whole seems rather boring.

Anyway I would probably not use Twitter as 'Lauren' since that's a very personal part of me that no one other than you sweeties here know about... And what happens at Chastity Mansion stays at the Mansion as far as Lauren is concerned.
 
Mistress Watchful, dollyanne will try her best to explain. Twitter is a social networking system using short messages (140 characters or less). You follow people and people follow you. For example, some celebrities and politicians have over 500,000 followers! It is easier to follow someone because you don't have to ask to be their friend as you do on facebook (unless they lock their updates!) Messages are called "tweets" and may contain links to photos or websites using shortened URLs.

It started off as "What I'm doing now," but has progressed to all kinds of messages. It is very hot right now and growing rapidly. In fact, it is growing so fast, servers can't keep up. Facebook tried to acquire them, but failed. Instead, FB has tried to offer twitter-like features such as "What I'm doing now."

But, the best way to find out about it is to try it. Go to Twitter.com, sign up and find people you want to follow, such as celebrities or politicians or whoever. You can delete Your account any time!

I have both Facebook and Twitter. My Facebook account is 'real life" as my family all sends pictures, etc through there. I searched for you on "Twitter" though and couldn't find you. My Twitter name is "sumthingsmissin". Feel free to drop me a line.

You can view any of dollyanne's followers or any of the people dollyanne is following to see if you want to follow them too. Some of them, like ThreeWaysIn are interesting!
