I have been playing with chastity for 25 yrs, started with Neosteele belts (ended up with 3). Still could never keep on long term as always had soreness or sores happen. Im using BAWR cages now. I have 2 and planning to order another. My wife still plays but she never takes initiative to keep me locked long term. I do love the thought of being locked long term.

I fantasize about having my locks permanently closed. The BAWR latest cage has the permanent clips, i hint for my wife to use but she hasn’t got there yet. I think about being permanently caged by putting the cage and sealing the screws and putting the clips with JB weld. Only escape would be to cut cage off.

What do folks think about that or experience that others have had

My thoughts on permanent are well documented on this site.

I have never seen a cage or a design for one that could not be removed with a dremel or a bolt cutter. I have had one cage cut off in the ER. (That was due to an error in sizing.) It took the firemen about 30 seconds and they didn’t leave a mark on me.

So the only thing glueing your cage shut does is make the inevitable time you have to take it off in a medical emergency much more expensive.

If you don’t want to be unlocked then make that commitment to your key holder.

I have been locked 24/7 for almost a year now and we have no intention of ever unlocking. But the permanence comes from a mutual commitment.

It's a nice fantasy but I wouldn't do it. You need to keep yourself clean there and you can't do it properly without removing the cage. Also, if you get into an emergency and have no way to get the cage off, if you can get it cut off right then, then you're screwed in the very way you don't want to be. Better safe than sorry, so if you don't want to be unlocked then just communicate that with your wife and she won't let you out. It'll have the same effect without putting you in danger.

What on earth are you doing with the pastry brush?
the bristles are long enough and flexible enough to get to everywhere within the cage to clean properly its ofter than a paint brush and not so many bristles as they get in each others way.

I got the idea of using one of those from some photos I saw on here of a guy who had quite a heavy metal cage that was 'permanently' fastened on with a number of pot-rivets

I do too
Get the right cage and you can
I use a pastry brush
We have a customised BadAss cage
we have established I can keep the cage and myself clean wthout removing it
The only thing that keeps me from 100% agreeing is if being clean-shaven is important. While a pastry-brush will get those hard-to-reach places, a razor will not. But other than that, or if we're willing to accept some pubic hair, yes: I never need to remove my BAWR cage.

Just got over a urinary tract infection! Trust me you don't want to be locked if that happens. This is the second one I've had in about 6 years and has taken 4 lots of antibiotics to clear up (hopefully). Won't be locked again by Mrs Chaste until we are absolutely sure that it isn't coming back. Also having a scan of the whole area next week, so we wait for the outcome of that.
