    Without going custom and expensive, i can't find a metal cage with a small enough gap. I have small balls prone to escape. An currently wearing a plastic cage with a 3mm spacer and 44mm ring so zero chance of a slip.

    It’s all down to personal preference, I have worn both types of device but prefer plastic as my skin reacted to the metal device.

    But I prefer metal!

    Less skin irritation (for me) and easier to clean.

    I had ball burn with each of the (five!) plastic devices I have had.
    I have one plastic kink3D for travel - passing security but for any other it’s metal for me.

    also the looks I like better.

    We picked stell due to a lot of the reviews on this site, seems plastic ones are less comfortable and cannot be adjusted or modified as much as metal.
    But that's just my observation
