Neosteel arch/fun

Will have to try and get it right, as I'm not spending any more money on it. If it won't fit then I'll sell it on, I've got a BehindBarz on order.

I ordered both the standard pad lock and the snap lock, they forgot the snap lock, I've emailed them, waiting for a response.

Just pity why it’s needs to be so expensive to get it solved. It’s not like the belts are cheap. Their after-service seems a sloppy. I really hope body will get adjusted to it after some bending.

It's not too small, but I wish it was a little tighter.
I also ordered a Snap lock, but it wasn't included.
I contacted them and finally got a response, but they said it would take another 3-6 months, so I canceled it (still haven't received a refund)
Yup, that's simply not good enough.
Can you still raise a case through PayPal?

Ahhhh man. That really sucks….sorry it’s a disappointment. I hope you get it straightened out

So it looks like the waistband is correct (as far as I can tell without being able to wear it properly), but the crotch module has not been made to the measurements I provided. 4cm short either side.

I noticed people have this same problem they measure correct and get a different measurement. Start to wonder if neosteel decrease measurements on purpose as they assume it will fit better or it’s simply sloppy work on their part.

Really NeoSteel have been around long enough to do better, add in the price for their belts and they should basically need almost no adjusting.

I think they are the most expensive at the moment, more than Carrara or BehindBarz and from what I have read BehindBarz belts fit right out of the gate, Carrara has the hinges which compensate for fitting. BehindBarz are much newer to this game than NeoSteel, but seem to be more switched on, committed and sorted with their belts.

Anyway, for me the Fun crotch module is to short where it joins to the waistband at the front and rear, but the tube is correctly size, ready to get into, very comfortable and very well made, if not for not fitting I'd be a very happily, securely and frustratingly locked away.

Let's hope that NeoSteel come to the party and dinner just say "rough luck, your on your own".

Anyway even if that happens, I've got a BehindBarz belt on order (got tired of waiting for NeoSteel, BehindBarz had a discount on what I wanted and I got in before the price rise) which should be smooth two to four weeks.

That's enough of a range isn't it.

Still ticked off, come on NeoSteel, this want cheap in any way.

Even when Dr Mende was there my crotch module was also too short. I wonder if the correct way to measure for the cable length is with the buttocks closed tightly because it seems they reduce the cable length from the actual measurement. I measured tightly with the tape measure all the way in and ended up with a crotch module that was way too short. The tube was fine so I made my own cable of the correct length. For the price I shouldn't have to do that but it was either that or pay for a correction and wait 6 months or more. It seems to be a common problem for Neosteel owners. You'd think they would provide better instructions by now but I honestly wonder if the new owners are serious about staying in business at this point.

I think they intend to be serious, but it definately feels like they aren't committed, it's very much a side hustle (not fair on their customers at all, especially considering how much they charge), for me to get mine to fit I'll need to lengthen both front and back, so pulled tight between the ass wouldn't matter or make that big of a difference.

If the error is on the side of the person doing the measurements, them it's fair they pay for corrections, but if the error is on NeoSteels side then they should cover expenses and make there change or rework a priority rather than say "back of the que, that'll be another year", at which point you've lost interest and give somewhere else.

A difference of just 1cm can mean the difference between completely unwearable and perfect fit with these belts. Before I ordered mine I checked and rechecked my measurements multiple times over a month, and still ended up with a waistband that was too large and a rear cable that was too short. I still don't know what I did wrong there, I've just had to figure out what fits by buying parts second hand until I found a good fit other than the cable and rear plate both of which I made. The rear plate can fatigue and snap right above where it attaches to the cable as it needs to be thicker. Both the incorrect cable length and the broken plate are problems I've seen others complain about. I pushed on to get mine fitted right but it wasn't without expense far beyond the initial cost of my new belt, although I have parts I need to sell off now that I don't need them.

Sorry about the troubles your having with yours, it is very frustrating. If the entire crotch module is short front and back on yours, it could be that you need a larger waistband that will sit a little bit lower. As long as it won't slide over your hips while its closed then its still secure.

I had to send pictures with a tape measure alongside the part, showing the wrong length. After that they accepted the error and made a new one for me.
I'm going to give them a few days to get back to me, then I'll send them photos.

Did you use the measuring kit?

Question regarding the NS measuring kit - when measuring for the crotch, do you pull the measuring kit tightly up between the butt cheeks so it lays directly on the anus, or is it supposed to just rest over the butt crack but not pulled into it?

When I did my measurement, I just made it snug just enough to be able to move aside the cable slightly...

When I did my measurements, I made sure it was snug, but not to tight and it ended up to short, everything else is correct, I think they made it wrong. I'm hoping that NeoSteel will help to get it fixed (I'm doubtful).

If you aren't in a rush and can wait to see what happens with mine before ordering yourself (then you will be able to see if they have any after sales support), otherwise I recommend not paying the full amount until they ship (that way you have some protection through PayPal) and is they say they won't do anything until you've paid them require them to agree to give you some protection incase they don't make yours correctly.

@lockmeup4life, @unlockableone - Thanks for the information and advice. Not sure if I want to wait that long, but I'll take your comments into account when measuring.
They have said they can modify mine (3+weeks), but will charge me 90 euro plus shipping, duties and if the coating is damaged then it would need to be recoated (6+weeks), I'm going to make it work myself as I can do it nicer, faster and I have some ideas that I can incorporate into it, not to mention that I don't trust them to get it right the second time around (not when they fucked up on the first time and gave me the middle finger when I enquired about it).

BTW, the BehindBarz belt I ordered at the end of April will ship in the next few days, so it'll be interesting to see if it fits out of the box and what their after sales is like.

As a BehindBarz wearer, I can say their customer service after a sale is amazing -- it's what you would expect after spending this kind of money on a belt. They've always been very responsive to me.

Update,,,,,,, NeoSteel have no after sales support only after sales sales, "we didn't make the extremely expensive belt you ordered from us correctly, well to correct our error we will get you to send it back to us, we will modify it, recoat it if it's damaged and send it back to you, by the way we will charge you for every part of this and if you will us to send out two small connectors (used to connect the rear cable/rod) with the snap lock we still owe you, well we will charge for that as well".

I'm going to wait for the snap lock, then in d done with these hustlers who don't stand behind their product.

If it was a cheap belt fine, but it wasn't cheap.

I really wanted to be happy with it and support them, but when they refuse any responsibility or to offer any support then I'll respond in kind, I gave them the opportunity to make this right even to meet them half way but no they aren't interested.

My advise is that if you can't get them to measure you then avoid all of their products.
