    Hi all,

I'm seriously considering the Looker 01 titanium, but have one doubt: with fixed or removable plug.

Therefore I was wondering how the plug can be removed: by unscrewing from the inside, or by unscrewing a little bolt from the outside and then the plug inside the cage is loose? On the website it is not clearly visible.

Is unscrewing from the inside then I guess it will be as safe as one with fixed plug.

    Thanks.

Hi. Yes, the plug is fixed in place from the inside. Cannot add/remove without removing the cage. Even if you could it would near impossible to get the plug back in without removal anyway.

Hi, before posting this question on this forum I had earlier sent an email to Stewelworxx, and this morning I have received a reply stating the plug is fixed with a screw at the outside.

In that case it will be removable easily when unscrewing from the outside I guess.

Does anyone have a picture of the plug only? I was expecting it was threaded at the end but since this morning I have doubts.

May bet he principle is best seen in photos:

The plug is screwed into the cage from behind.

A lock nut is then attached to the front to secure the tube

Thanks for this clear explanation and the pictures! So the plug is already fixed to the cage by screwing it into the cage. I guess the "lock nut" you mention is mainly to keep the plug into it's position then because it is already fixed to the cage. That means that the hole where the plug goes in also is threaded, do you have a picture of that as well?

My guess is that it is a smooth hole in the end of the cage and the external nut does all the holding

Yes, it has a thread. But it's hard to see on a photo, so I didn't take one.

I have the stainless steel version. It screws in from the inside and the outside bolt is just to tighten it down.

No, it has a thread that is designed in such a way that the plug sits firmly in exactly the right position, which is quite a feat of craftsmanship.
The screw also secures the plug. Nevertheless, I once managed to move it out of its position with the cage in place. There must be unimaginable forces at work here.

    Thanks all!

That takes away the last doubts. Removal is only possible when the cage is off and that is almost as secure as a fixed plug. Only disadvantage is the thing pointing out a bit and therefore slightly visible under clothes.

I don't think that's an issue really, as it is pointing down normally.
It;s many years now since I bought the Stainless Steel 01 with a removable insert and the real problem I had was that the lock nut would work loose and drop out to the ground.
On some occasions I found the nut but after a few instances of buying replacements I opted for a hexagonal aluminium nut.
It seems that the design may have changed now.

Interesting. I wonder if he changes the design occasionally? I have the titanium Looker 1 with removable plug. On mine, the catheter tube has a shoulder flange on it that presses against the inside of the cage, preventing it from being pulled out. The cage itself is unthreaded, and the lock nut secures the tube to the cage. The tube can’t be pulled out with the cage on because of the flange. I suppose in theory it could be pushed IN if the locknut fell off, but it’d take some force and that flange would be very uncomfortable. I had him custom make mine with an 8mm tube, so that may be one reason mine is the way it is.

Mine is 3 or 4 years old.

Yes I think it will not be really visible this way, that is good then!

Before ordering I will ask Steelworxx if the design can be made in such a way the plug needs to be screwed in from the inside, because apparently through the years the design might have changed slightly regarding the fixing of the plug and when paying more than 500 it should be perfect

You're actually looking in the wrong corner. This is about products from "steelworxx". According to the design, your picture probably shows a "steelwerks":

The two brands are very different, but the name can easily lead to confusion.

I have a titanium Looker 01 with removable plug that I ordered at the end of September last year and received in early March. The plug threads into the cage from the inside, and as @castitas noted the plug tightens at exactly the right spot as it screws in so that it is perfectly positioned. Overall workmanship is excellent, and the device is quite comfortable once you get used to it. Short of a piercing this is probably one of the more secure cage devices available.

Thanks, again what I hoped for!

I expect to order the device within a month and yes, then the long waiting starts.....

Good luck, you'll certainly have a premium device at the end. :+1:

When you order your device, you may want to consider adding one of these:

    https://www.steelworxx.de/Penisring_1

I got one sized to just fit inside the cage of my Looker 01. I slip it over my cock before putting on the cage so that it sits just behind the head. This covers the sensitive spot on the underside and makes getting any stimulation even more impossible. If frustration is your aim (or the aim of your keyholder), the extra ring is a nice add-on.

That looks very interesting and tempting. But how is the hygiene under the ring to be assessed if one thinks in long-term categories?
