My $20 chinese cobra came in. The ring is bent out which I know is kinda common but it leaves almost zero gap where cage and ring touch. Is this a defect or all our cobras designed this way? Thinking of taking it to work today pressing it flat between two blocks of wood see if that helps. 20240130_045827.jpg

It's pinchy as hell. Seems like a design flaw. Like the cage otherwise. Going to press it flat or flatter today.

It can’t hurt to try to adjust the gap at all

To me, it looks like it is missing a piece. Something that uses the other two post like a PA hook.

Worse comes to worse, add a few small washers where the screw is to widen the gap and make up for whatever is missing.

If it doesn't work for you now, don't get rid of it.
Everyone who does chastity long term and gets used to wearing one, invariably moves to a smaller, closer fitting device, so believe it or not, it may welll fit you perfectly later on.

I'll second claud_bear's suggestion to add a washer between the ring and cage, that will likely do the trick for you.
